Reducing agent

Sulfur dyes are in itself insoluble in water.  The dye molecules need to be solubilized to its leuco form by addition of a reducing agent (anti-oxidant).  Dyeing of cellulose substrate occurs in leuco form.  Subsequent oxidation will make it water insoluble again giving it the high wash fastness.  Bhanu's partially reduced Sulphol Liquid dyes would require controlled amount of reducing agent.  We offer two broad categories of reducing agents.

Inorganic reducing agent
  • Sulfad 70
  • Sulfad A-79
Organic reducing agent
  • Reddex 92

Antibronze

An aqueous organic solution used in conjunction with Sulfad 70 or Sulfad A-79 to avoid bronzy dyeing which can occur due to premature oxidation of Sulfur dye.
